Are you Recruiters?

We’re often asked this question, and it’s not a one-word answer. We are recruiters; everyone on our team is trained at it, and we’re very good at it.  Many of us started working at traditional recruitment agencies.

What we do, though, is different from a traditional recruitment agency. We work precisely as an internal HR resource and charge by the hour for the time we spend on the search, not a percentage of the hire.

Recruitment Shouldn’t Always be Expensive!

For a typical role, we can find a candidate this way quite quickly, and our clients pay hundreds of dollars rather than thousands. Many clients are surprised to find out that roles they thought they needed to engage a traditional agency for, they can fill themselves if they have the right team running the search in-house. This is why more and more of our clients are outsourcing recruitment to Tenfold HR Solutions and trying it themselves before moving on to other alternatives.

For More Difficult to Fill Positions

If your posting doesn’t turn up a qualified candidate, then we’ll refer you to a suitable recruitment agency.

We don’t refer work to any one agency exclusively, and over the years, we have worked with many of the major players, so we can recommend an agency which might be the best match for the role and your budget. In some cases, our history with an agency may mean we can help you negotiate a better rate than you may be able to if you’ve never worked with them before.

Our Process

Post The Job:

First, we post your job on your website and job boards like Indeed or others that work best for your industry.

We do this using your login or setting up accounts for your company as if we were an internal resource. The name Tenfold HR Solutions won’t appear anywhere unless you request that we spread the word through our networks on LinkedIn etc.

The advantage here is that we’re experienced at this, so we ensure you’re asking for the proper experience levels and screening as much as you can upfront. If you use an ATS (Applicant Tracking System), we’ll use that to narrow down that initial pool of candidates even further. With the technology out there today, it is easier than ever to find the best candidates in the market.

Applicant Screening:

We’ll have our team review your resumes and flag the best for your review.

This is often the most significant benefit to our busy clients (and HR Managers) who don’t have the time to screen applicants where there are many responses. The keyword searches and new artificial intelligence sites and apps are helpful. But they can only do so much to reduce the pool of candidates early in the process. We keep up to date on all these tools and use them to your advantage, but in the end, you still need a human to screen the applicants that made it through.

We’ll look at their history and consider qualifications, where they’ve worked in the past and for how long.  We will also look for potential candidates who have graduated from a specific program or started with a competitor and have traditionally been a good fit for your team/industry.

Phone Screens:

Phone screening is an extremely valuable step that busy hiring managers sometimes skip. We call the applicants that you’re interested in and spend 10-15 minutes on the phone with them, asking about the basics to verify their qualifications and find out their availability and what they are looking for in their next position.

Many candidates are screened out at this stage, saving the hiring manager the hassle of an interview with someone who isn’t a fit based on salary expectations, availability, etc.

Interview Scheduling:

Once we’ve conducted the phone screen, we’ll send a summary of the information and ask which candidates you’d like to interview. We can schedule those for you as well.

Reference Checks:

We’ll call for you if you have a list of questions you would like to ask references and prefer to do it with someone else. Often that takes a few attempts and a bit of phone tag. We’ll send the answers back and let you know our thoughts on the candidate, but the decision on whether to hire based on that feedback will remain entirely up to you.

If this sounds like the type of assistance your company or your existing HR team could use – please don’t hesitate to reach out. Our team would be glad to lend a hand!
